About

Helping students find the story only they can tell.

Avanthika Srinivasan

Hi, I'm Avanthika.

I've always been fascinated by how people communicate who they are.

Long before I began coaching students through the college admissions process, I was studying storytelling, performance, language, and human behavior, trying to understand why certain stories resonate, why some conversations leave a lasting impression, and how people communicate authenticity.

That curiosity has shaped every stage of my career.

I graduated from Princeton University with a degree in French Language and Culture, where I pursued coursework across both the humanities and sciences. After graduation, I earned my MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, spending three years immersed in the study of storytelling, voice, presence, and communication.

While these experiences may seem unrelated to college admissions, they ultimately led me to the same question: how do we communicate who we are in a way that feels authentic, compelling, and memorable?

Today, I work in two worlds that are deeply connected.

As an executive communication coach, I partner with professionals ranging from early-career employees to senior leaders and C-suite executives. My clients have included individuals and teams at organizations such as Cisco, Google, Salesforce, Deloitte, the United Nations, and many others. Whether preparing for leadership presentations, investor pitches, high-stakes meetings, or career transitions, my work centers on helping people communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and impact.

As a college essay coach, I bring those same principles to the admissions process. Students often come to me believing they need a more extraordinary story. In reality, most students already possess the experiences, values, and perspectives that make for compelling essays. The challenge is identifying what matters, understanding why it matters, and learning how to communicate it effectively.

My coaching process is highly collaborative. I ask questions, challenge assumptions, and help students uncover the deeper themes that connect their experiences, interests, and aspirations. Together, we transform ideas into essays that are authentic, reflective, and strategically aligned with a student's goals.

Over the past eight years, I've worked with students on personal statements, supplemental essays, application strategy, standardized test preparation, and interview coaching.

I have also served as a Princeton alumni interviewer, meeting with prospective applicants and contributing evaluations as part of the admissions process. That experience reinforced something I see repeatedly in my coaching work: the students who leave a lasting impression are rarely those with the longest list of accomplishments. They are the students who can thoughtfully articulate who they are, what matters to them, and how they engage with the world around them.

What I enjoy most about this work is watching students grow in confidence, not just as applicants, but as communicators. Because the skills that lead to successful college applications are often the same skills that lead to success far beyond admissions: reflection, self-awareness, storytelling, and communication.

Whether you're beginning your first draft, preparing for interviews, or trying to uncover the story behind your accomplishments, I'd be honored to help.

Let's tell your story together.
